I don't know what is funnier about these pictures: Kate's faces, the fact that she is showing as much attitude and determination as her mother, or the fact that you got your camera to take pictures of her as she was screaming and climbing out of the crib. Did you tell her to climb out once you had the camera or did she just want out so bad and was so mad you were taking her picture that she decided to let herself out? ;)
So last night Steve and I were talking about your post and wondering when Evan would start doing that. Not looking forward to it at all. Then today I was out working in the yard. Evan was sleeping and I had the monitor with me so I'd know when he woke up. I hadn't seen any activity on the monitor so after a few hours I came in. I heard someone knocking on the door so I went to the front door to see who was here, but there was no one. Then I realized it was Evan knocking on his bedroom door! He had climbed out of his crib and it looks like he'd been playing in his room for a while. Luckily I think we can still lower his crib one more setting (I hope). Ahhh, I don't think I am ready for him to have free rain.
I was afraid you were going to say that Evan was knocking at the front door. Be prepared for that one - something quite similar to what his father used to do when not too much older than Evan. Remind me to tell you about it - it has to do with sitting on top of a car in the middle of the street. If anyone else's child had done this - I'd think she was a bad mother that neglected her kids. I learned that with some kids, it doesn't matter how careful the mother tries to be.
