Turkey Trot

I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in running the Turkey Trot again this Thanksgiving. I've mentioned it to Jon & Jane and Scott & Shaliece who have shown some interest. I was just wondering if anyone else in the family would be interested.

There is a 1 mile fun run/walk that takes place before the 10k. Maybe those who aren't interested in the 10k could do the 1 mile with the kids.

Also, Jane mentioned her concern of preparing Thanksgiving dinner without help because everyone was too tired from the race. She suggested maybe having dinner the next day. So I thought I'd throw that out there as well to get feedback. I sure Evan wouldn't mind having the big feast for his birthday.

I'm sure this won't surprise anyone, but I'd opt for the 1 mile run/walk with the kids. BUT, I'm flying in that morning. So, I'm all for everyone going to the race as long as you give Parker the keys to come pick me up at the airport!! ;-) But since I'm coming in Thursday morning, I'm all for Friday Thanksgiving so I can help cook!

Friday Thanksgiving sounds great to me, too. We can spend all afternoon on Thursday making rolls, pies, etc. Sounds fun. The 10K would be OK, but I think doing the 1 mile with the kids would be really fun. I'm all up for that if I could get others to go with me so I don't have all the kids! :) I bet Kate would walk the whole way! That girl just walks circles all day long (while CARRYING shoes).

I am up for the kid walk or if they have a 5k I would like to try for that. I am game for Friday dinner as well and like the idea of cooking together and just having fun!! Can't wait to see everyone. (You will have to post pics of Kate and her shoes) Is anyone up for family pics? I know we would like one of ours and the whole family if possible.

Cooking stuff on Thurs together sound like lost of fun. Good idea Marnee.
I was also wondering about the family picture as well. I would really like to get a Moser family pict including all the little additions from last year. Marnee do you think one of your assistants or someone you know could take them so you don't have to worry about it?

Family picture sounds fun. Mom, that means you will have to send out Christmas cards this year! :)

I'll ask LaTricia to see if she can help out. And I'll start prepping Mike for the torture! :) HEE HEE.

I guess that means I should start auditions for model to play the role of my husband in our family pictures.

Anne, what do you mean START auditions. I thought that is what you have been doing for the last several years. Maybe you need to up the incentive - after all you do have 6 wonderful nieces and nephews now and is there any family that is more fun than the Moser family - especially during game time. Even Becca has become a "true Moser" during games. Just don't ask her to spell though! :)

No no no. I've been auditioning for the actual husband. I'm just talking about the person that could model for the picture. COMPLETELY different!

Hey Jane, don't you know what happens in Texas stays in Texas ; )

So sorry, Becca. I'll leave the details for you to tell. (if you choose.) :) Not really sure you will be able to leave this in Texas though. You have moved to the "dark" (Moser) side! Congratulations!

OH MY GOODNESS!! That picture seems like it was taken so long ago. I looked pretty goofy back then.
